At the movies this week

Movies on my current list of “must see” over the holiday break:
- Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera – which probably surprises me more than anyone else, since musicals aren’t my cup of tea. However, this one looks compelling. And I’ll admit that seeing a movie with the name Andrew Lloyd Webber attached to it may be enough to get me to a theater.
- The relatively unknown horror flick due to come out Christmas Day, Darkness – because I hope it will be good.
- Fat Albert – as child who grew up on Saturday cartoon, Conjunction Junction, School House Rock and, of course, Fat Albert, I have to see what they did with the movie.
- Blade: Trinity – because the first two were, in my opinion, very good action flicks and I’m expecting this one to be as well. Also, because I’ve heard good things from friends.
For more information on these movies, as well as showtimes in the Pasadena area, go to Cinemark, AMC Theaters, or Hollywood.com.
