Looking for something to do this weekend? Try the Houston International Festival. This year it has returned to downtown Houston. The 2005 theme is spotlighting India. The festival takes place April 23-24 and April 30-May 1 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in downtown Houston (Bagby Street, Upper and Lower Sam Houston Parks, Tranquility Park, Allen Parkway). Tickets are $7 for advance discount (beginning March 28 – April 17 at Houston area H-E-B locations and online); tickets are $10 after April 17 and at the gate; Children under 10 are free. You can create a custom schedule by visiting their Web site.
Looking for something less mundane? According to InfoPlease, April 24 we will see a Penumbral eclipse of the Moon. Check out their Web site for more information on this and other lunar events.
